“Farreach Soft Skills Expo” is a solution to the social-educational challenge facing the youth in the 21^st century. “Farreach Soft Skills Expo” is a strategic communication intervention programme that is designed for students in secondary education and undergraduate students in higher institutions in Nigeria. Its major objective is to expose the fundamentals of soft skills to students in order to improve their knowledge, understanding, and application of soft skills, and thereby equip them to navigate the challenges of life both in their academic lives in the school and their career lives after school, and become better future leaders.

Through “Farreach Soft Skills Expo”, we aim to equip the youth with essential skills to handle the wave of mis-/disinformation in the global media culture of the 21^st century by providing the critical processing skills they require to handle information and data in order to make informed decisions about their lives and careers. Understanding that the youth are at the forefront of the informational age and the wave of mis-/disinformation in the global media culture of the 21^st century is unprecedented. It is likely that most African youth without essential skills to process information and data will find it difficult to navigate their lives and careers in a complex, competitive, knowledge-based, information-age, technology-driven economy and society.

In addition, the “Farreach Soft Skills Expo” will help solve the challenge of misdirection among the youth. Most of our young people are being misguided and misdirected because of the wave of mis-/disinformation in the global media culture of the 21st century. Through the “Farreach Soft Skills Expo”, we aim to equip the youth with essential skills to handle the negative strong wave in the global media culture of the 21^st century that can cause misdirection in their lives and careers.

Finally, the “Farreach Soft Skills Expo” will help the youth channel their youthful energy, passion and zeal to social and business enterprises that will better their lives and career, and improve human society.
